Week 9

Dear parents, This week 4th grade presented a fun assembly for the school. I am very proud of our talented actors and actresses and all their hard work. It was a memorable assembly and I am thankful for all their help! This week we completed lesson 7 in our Journeys softcover books. We also wrapped up our countable vs. uncountable nouns study in unit 5 and took a test, in which most students performed very well. We are working hard to understand fractions in our math class. It is a challenge, but with enough practice we can do it! Have a great weekend! Mr. Stark

Field Trip!

Dear parents, This week we went on a fun field trip to Yilan. It rained most of the time but the kids were prepared with over-sized raincoats. We all enjoyed watching a drama featuring the 12 Chinese signs, and learned about old basket weaving technology. The kids laughed at the peculiar puppets that were used long ago. I think they had a good time, especially at the end where they shopped for toys and candy! Have a great weekend, Mr. Stark

Test Week

Dear parents, We made it through our first exams! Back-to-back English and Chinese exams was tough, but our students pushed ahead and are finally done! I am very proud of all their hard work, and the results were excellent. We had a lot of good grades and I was pleasantly surprised. We began studying countable and uncountable nouns in grammar class. Next week we will continue, and we have a field trip on Friday, 19/10. Have a great weekend, Mr. Stark

Week 6

Dear parents, It is hard to believe the first big test is coming up! This week we wrapped up all our assigned studies in math, science, and vocabulary. I am very proud of all that my students have accomplished over the past six weeks. They have worked hard and deserve recognition. This weekend's homework will be to study for their exams. They have already completed their Journeys corrections and grammar corrections. Please refer to their test scope to make sure your child has reviewed all the appropriate material. Good luck on Monday! Have a great weekend, Mr. Stark Students may also use this source below to review for their exams: https://quizlet.com/Ms_Gloria/folders/exam-1-spv/sets
