Test Review Week

Dear parents,

This week we wrapped up all our studies in preparation for next week's exams. I am very proud of all my students for all their hard work and dedication. Kevin gave a great Lih-Jen Angel speech and became part of our drama team as well!

Grade 4 English Second Exam Scope (Semester 1) 2018 – 2019
Date: Thursday and Friday, November 22-23, 2018
The recommended review material will be sent home and other material can be requested at the parents’ liability to the test scope.

Exam Tasks
Vocabulary 10%
Please review vocabulary lessons 6-10
Language Handbook
Students must fill in the blank using a word bank. The spelling of the vocabulary must be correct.
Reading Comprehension 25%
Journeys Lessons 6-10
Class A – Hard and soft back
Class B – Soft back
Students will be given a short reading. They will demonstrate their comprehension skills by answering questions from the reading.

Students will be given questions about the Journeys reading of Lessons 6-10.
Grammar 40%
Enter the World of Grammar Units 5-8
Countable/Uncountable – There is/there are
Some/any/no/every
Possessive Case
Possessive Forms
Students will complete gapped text, write full sentences, and answer multiple choice questions.

Ø   Expression of idea (good details and reasoning)

Ø   Lesson 6 Conversion of Measurement (p.68-72) will NOT be on the exam
